Forward Fell is part of a series drawn in quiet conversation with the body, specifically the long process of healing from chronic illness. Each line is an act of attention, shaped by breath and the effort of staying present through pain.

This drawing opens like a fan, catching, collecting, and releasing. It holds a tension between delicacy and strength. The central form stands tall and stoic, yet its fine lines are intricate and fragile. Layered, folding shapes appear to shed and fall, like something in slow motion unraveling. Each edge is intentional, some sharp and strutting outward like new shoots of growth, others grounded, steady, and solid. There’s a quiet rhythm in the repetition as the central form moves, breathes, and responds, conversing with the space around it.
